Renaissance Costumes

I was the costumed stage crew for Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing!  This outfit was made based on instructions from a website that does not appear to exist anymore.  I didn't have enough time to do research for this outfit before the play so I found that website very helpful!  I'll place a link here if the website appears again.

I'm on the left, Melody on the right.
Melody's dress was just simply fun and decorative, I even put a zipper in the light blue dress!  (Not something I normally put in period clothing. ;)

American Colonial Era Clothing

Of all the period clothing that I've worn, Colonial era garments (even with stays) are the most comfortable.  My Colonial outfit is my least favorite, however, because I just can't make it look pretty in my mind!
I have seen pictures of one day dress and one evening dress (both Colonial Williamsburg reproductions) from this era that I do like, and someday hope to make for myself!
